The Mockingbird is a favorite bird of mine...I grew up listening to him wake me up at 4 o'clock AM as he sang every song imaginable. He could sing anything...but what I wanted to do was to throw something out of the window at him. In the summer we slept with the windows open for fresh air. I do love him for his singing ability he can even mimic a dogs bark and the UPS man's whistle. He is great on protecting his berries, will definitely "fuss" his foes away...I have even seen him dive-bomb my cat or dog when they were close to his spring nest. When I painted this bird I realized he had whiskers. Giclee prints not shown here can be made to order.
